【歌詞対訳】”Golden Age” / TV On The Radio
サードアルバム『ディアー・サイエンス』（Dear Science, 2008）からのファーストシングル。TVOTRのファンキーな側面を主として担っているのはアフロ＆髭もじゃの妖精キップ・マローンだが、それにしてもこれはなんと奇妙で中毒性のあるリズムだろうか。おそらくメロディやコード進行よりもリズムが先にできて、それに肉づけしていく形で作られた曲だと思うが、こんな変な曲はそうそう出会えるものじゃない（そしてなんだ、このミュージックビデオは笑）。レディオヘッドであればこういう実験的なリズムはばんばん出てくるが、TVOTRはデイヴ・シーテック以外全員黒人だからだろう、全員白人のレディオヘッドとは明らかにちがう種類のグルーヴ感にあふれている。またキップの曲は祝祭の雰囲気を漂わせるものが多いが、2008年はアフリカ系のバラク・オバマが大統領に選出された年である。この曲のリリースはオバマの大統領就任前ではあるが、当然、当時の熱狂ぶりと無関係ではないだろう。なお、ミュージックビデオはオリジナル音源ではなく短縮版である。
