【歌詞対訳】”Repetition” / TV On The Radio

4作目のアルバム『ナイン・タイプス・オブ・ライト』（Nine Types of Light, 2011）に収録。これこそTVOTRという感じの非常にドープなナンバー。レターマンで披露されたライブバージョンは、冒頭のフレーズがトロンボーンに置き換えられているせいで、なんだかスネ夫が自慢話をするときのBGMを連想してしまうのは僕だけだろうか（笑）。「レペティション」はあの曲と同じように間抜けで不穏な雰囲気を保ったまま進行していき、ロックンロールになり、タイトルの通り最後はマントラか何かのように"My repetition, my repetition is this"が延々と繰り返される。冒頭で歌われる魚、"Hail Mary"という間投詞、"I could shed my skin"（脱皮する＝蛇）など明確に聖書的なイメージをちりばめつつ、資本主義社会における成功者の堕落した精神性を表しているかのようだ。
